Weinheim, Germany. Its something special with this place... Two (!) cracked cymbals in one night. Well, I got my
revenge Thank you and good night.
After getting into Switzerland smooth (they are not in the EU so sometimes it can be a struggle to get in there. If you are lucky the border police likes music and you can "bribe" them with some records or shirts) doing two amazing shows, Geneve & Bern, we aimed for Italy. Well, there is only a few tiny mountains in the way. After driving on stunning mountain roads for a couple of hours the road suddenly turned into a dead end. "Too much snow, the road is closed, you have to turn around" was the message we were told.
photo Our shortcut turned to shit. So we had to go all the way back and around the beast. 5 hours later we where at the freeway on the other side. We could almost see the road from there. Got to the venue in Bologna a good 3 hours late. But the reward was waiting for us: Pasta and Pizza - italian style!

A little something to everyone in Bern. Thanks for the good time and a special salute to Karin and Thomas (with friends - Isa, Carole, Thomas)! Danke Schöön! Auf Wiedersehen!
My bro Shelby Cinca dropped by for two weeks prior to our EU tour. We did some work with our design collective "Passkontroll" and recorded the final five songs for the FM album. He hitched a ride with us via Berlin to Munich to fly back to DC shortly thereafter. Last night in Munich we didn’t have a support band, so why not make something out of it? Besides Decahedron and FM, Shelby is also in a band called The Cassettes - lofi powerpop - so me and Shelby rehearsed for a while and then opened up for DOLL. There's a sight you will never (?) see again. Our friends in The Blood Brothers & our US TM Pete was in town to play a show the day after. If you get a chance, go see them live. Great stuff!!
The weekend is approaching and we are about to head down south again. Its been almost two years since we last did a proper European tour. So put on your dancing shoes, DOLL is coming to town...
